2nd Marathon in 4 months...am I CRAZY?

Hey peeps! It's been a WHILE since I"ve blogged last...probably since the finish of my last marathon. I am 18 days away from my 2nd marathon and couldn't be more pumped. Chicago was a great race I'd like to try again one day, but not for now. My goal is to do Marathon's in all 50 states...Illinois down and now FLORIDA!

I am running in the 2012 Breast Cancer Marathon in Jacksonville Beach FL Feb 12th. I have been training since early November after taking a few low key training weeks off after Chicago. I learned some things i needed to improve on from my last marathon such as diet and more training.

My diet was awful. Although some people think I looked skinny b/c I ran all the time, I was eating out constantly, fried foods, excessive diet coke and chocolate. I have been fasting the past 3 weeks and have eliminated those. I've been shocked at the results of my training, energy, and the overall feeling of my body and mind.

I'm excited to use my new hydra-pouch I bought from my event's website...it's a new tool a lot of races are starting to use to promote a healthy planet and less paper cups. It's a high pressure water station at each water/gatorade station. You unclip from your belt, open up, it fills in a couple seconds and off you go. No stopping and trying to get a hand off of paper cups, pretty cool huh? I put a pic below...

I hope everyone gets inspired, not only to run, but to run for a good cause. This Marathon I'm doing in February, 100% of the registration fee goes to FINISHING Breast Cancer. This is so exciting b/c the money you feel like you are spending on a race is going to a great cause.
I couldn't do these races without the help of my family...my Husband Nicholas, my mom and sis for all helping with Ashlynn while I'm out on long 1-3 hour runs and my dad who is out there most of the time either running with me or riding along side me making sure I"m ok.

I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful and supportive family that help me continue to grow in this hobby that I've turned into a Love.

Until next time...

XOXO
